Ryan and Stacey Giggs' marriage was dissolved today after a bitter battle over their £40million fortune,.
Stacey, 39, was granted a divorce at London's Central Family Court this morning AND neither she nor her footballer ex were at the hearing.
Their names appeared as Giggs SA v RJ in a short list of other couples for the "making of a decree or order" under matrimonial and civil partnership proceedings by District Judge Yvonne Gibson at the Central Family Court in High Holborn.
Father of two Giggs, 43, had been fighting to keep more than half of the family fortune by claiming he made a “special contribution” to their bank balance because of his football skills.
The couple wed in 2007 and their marriage survived his eight year affair with Natasha Lever, 34, the wife of his brother Rhodri, 40.
He also cheated on Stacey with Big Brother star Imogen Thomas, 34, and took out a gagging order in a bid to keep their romps secret.
He and Stacey finally split in April last year after he was linked with a PR executive.
