A shopkeeper who was caught on CCTV shooting a 13-year-old boy seven times in the head and back during an alleged botched grab-and-run has been charged with the teen's murder.
Fabricco Patti was killed on December 2 2016 after he ran into Lucky Cigars and Smokes, in Las Vegas.
Store worker Raad Sunna, 24, was caught by an overhead camera firing shots as the boy attempted to flee the shop.It is alleged that the schoolboy was trying to steal a marijuana water pipe with two pals in tow. The boys, aged 14 and 15, were arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and later confessed to cops that they planned on stealing the items.
Black-and-white CCTV footage shows Sunna aim and fire before Fabricco falls to the floor.
Police said the boys were not wearing masks and had their faces on full view. They were not armed.
Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Karen Bennett said prosecutors charged Sunna after watching the disturbing footage and listening to his 911 call.
Sunna has been released on bail and is due back in court in two weeks.
