Sexual harassment & verbal abuse: Fox News cuts ties with Bill O'Reilly

Although Donald Trump came to the defense of Fox News host, Bill O'Reilly over his alleged sexual harassment scandal, the network has officially cut ties with him. Five women at Fox network accused O'Reilly of inappropriate sexual behavior, including verbal abuse, lewd comments and unwanted advances.

They reportedly received settlements totaling about $13 million from him and 21st Century Fox through lawsuits filed.

At least 60 advertisers told Fox to remove their commercials from "The O'Reilly Factor." He was notified today that his run at Fox News had come to an end.

"After a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the Company and Bill O'Reilly have agreed that Bill O'Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel," the company said in a statement. "Fox broadcaster Tucker Carlson will be taking over Mr O'Reilly's slot," the company later added.
