After villagers were threatened by the government to demolish their properties in other to make way for a new provincial highway, a Chinese man has been forced to move his home 492 feet to avoid losing it.
Despite the government offer to compensate owners of 165 homes in Taixing City, China's Jiangsu, the determine villager who didn't want to part ways with his three-storey property, spent 120,000 yuan (£13,959) to move the entire house, using wooden rollers.
The relocation which took only two days was completed on March 21, and he was also compensated by the government for moving his house, People's Daily Online reported.
