Paris marks Rodin centenary with impressive exhibition....(VIDEO)

Marking the centenary of French sculptor August Rodin’s death, the Musée Rodin and the Grand Palais in Paris are hosting a joint exhibition honouring the life and work of one of France’s most iconic artists.

The L'exposition du centenaire (The centenary exhibition) gathers more than 200 of the sculptor’s creations, including such famed pieces as The Thinker (Le Penseur) and The Kiss (Le Baiser), alongside works of some of the artists he inspired, from Constantin Brancusi to Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse.

Surviving scandals and public outrage, Rodin died at the age of 77 as the most famous and financially successful artist in the world.

Rodin’s centenary exhibition runs from March 22 to July 31, 2017
