Exploding letter bomb injures one of IMF's employee in Paris....

The International Monetary Fund (IMF)'s office in Paris has encountered a security threat where one employee was injured as a result of opening a letter.
The IMF Europe Office in the French capital is based on Avenue d'lena, close to the Champs Elysees.

Further details on who was involved and what actually happed is yet to be disclosed by the Paris police.

IMF director Christine Lagarde has condemned the act by referring to it as a "cowardly act of violence".

Earlier this week, a parcel bomb was intercepted by the German finance ministry in Berlin.

The Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble was the target.
