The authorities of Dubai have yet launched a strategic plan which will cut down manual road trips to 25% by the introduction of driverless vehicles.This strategy is to aid increase traffic efficiency, productivity, reduce traffic congestion and pollution & save millions of driving hours.
The Autonomous Transportation Challenge, which was also launched and is the world’s biggest RFP to global R&D centers to apply this technology in Dubai. Dubai is set to offer a global unique model for the city of the future by turning itself to the world largest R&D lab for driverless transportation.
