At least 18 perish in Southeast's Tornadoes (Photos)

At least 18 people are reported to have perished with 43 casualties in Mississippi and Georgia days after the presidential inauguration in a heavy thunderstorm and tornadoes.

Georgia’s emergency management agency spokesperson Catherine Howden said there had been  upto 20 reports of tornadoes with 14 dead and 23 injured.
Many properties were also destroyed as a result. In the wake of this unfortunate incident, seven counties including Atkinson, Berrien, Brooks, Colquitt, Cook, Lowndes and Thomas were declared as state of emergency by Gov. Nathan Deal on Sunday.

“The state is making all resources available to the impacted areas,” says Mr. Deal.
Search and rescue crews were still making their way through the community.
President Trump said he had spokn to Georgia's Gov. Mr Deal and has 'expressed his sincerest ''condolences for the lives taken.'' 

President Trumpfuther stated that "Tornadoes were vicious and powerful and strong, and they suffered greatly, so we are helping out the state of Georgia.
He made this declarations on Sunday during a White House swearing in of his aides.
